"Flexible Space" Section
Integrated Design 3
2016
Blender / Illustrator / Photoshop
An exercise in creating a space for a hundred people based off of a "flexible" experience. In this design flexible was expressed through materials, forms, and program. Bowed, repeated members slowly change shape, creating a different experience as a visitor moves through the structure.
The Canyon Pavilion- Structure & Programming
Comprehensive Design
2017
Revit / Photoshop
In a complete design exercise, a multi-use flagship education building is proposed for Arizona State University. Specific structural requirements (a large interior space, cantilevered structures, and attached public areas) needed to be considered alongside programmatic needs.
Warming Hut Section
Advanced Design 1
2018
Blender / Photoshop
Feasibility and construction is very important in Winnipeg's annual warming hut competition. This section cut combines information on connections, materials, and scale with lighting conditions and siting. By combining all this information into one graphic we were able to save space on our board.

Ritual Space Lighting Conditions
Integrated Design 2
2016
Sketchup / Blender / Photoshop
The sequence of events of the Meal Ritual lead people through different parts of the building at different times of day. The chefs arrive in the morning for harvest and preparation. The guest arrive in the evening and then leave at night. Different lighting conditions for each activity help guide visitors towards new experiences.
Gothic Study
Personal Project
2015
Blender
An exercise in UV mapping, lining up textures, and repeated structural elements. The model uses the same material and texture, but it is modeled and arranged in different ways.
Office Building Facade
Personal Project
2017
Blender
An exercise in detail work for digital models and material manipulation.
Material Fusion Side-Table
Personal Project
2015
Blender
A study in quick-and-dirty texture manipulation and materials.

DESIGN PROCESS
Warming Hut Process
Advanced Design 1
Fall 2018
This series follows the development of a warming hut proposal for a Winnipeg based competition. It begins on an individual basis and transitions into a collaborative effort.
1-3. Individual Research Basis: ice crystal, digital fabrication, and climate influences.
4-6. Individual: Setting up and testing the dispersion system.
1.
4.
7-9. Individual: applying a basic, crystal based module meant to gather snow on the exterior.
7.
10-11. Individual: Adding lighting effects on the interior.
12-13. Collaborative: Applying a transparent layer between a structure system and the snow petals.
14-15. Collaborative: Creating a triangle-based geodesic dome system, applying more geometric connections.
10.
13.
16-19. Collaborative: Combining geometric and organic forms, applying more accurate and transparent connections.

La Jolla Forces Analysis
Visual Communication 3
2015
Illustrator / Photoshop / Blender
The process of creating a digital model of relationships overlaid on geography. This exercise focuses on the push and pull of income and population density, with some relation to parks
ANALYSIS AND MAPPING
Midtown Woodward Ecological Plan
Integrated Design 4
2016
Illustrator
This site research calls out observed ecological assets in the environs of Woodward Avenue that may be relevant to ecological revitalization in a student's final project.
The ecological health is measured by vegetation height and diversity, as well as observed water retention and compaction in soil.
Low Health represents something like a monoculture lawn. Optimal health represents land with trees, bushes, weeds, and grasses, able to support small woodland life.
The mapping also focused on sites returning to nature.
Cass Park Centered Plan
Integrated Design 4
2016
Photoshop / Sketchup
This proposal for the revitalization of the Cass Park neighborhood centers around the increased use of Cass Park as a asset for the neighborhood and the city. The visual identity of limestone (taken from the two most famous buildings bordering the park) and trees winds out of the park and into its surroundings, creating a visual identity. The multiple uses added to the vicinity allow for a more useful walk for residents.
Life Cycle Analysis
Silent Meditation Hut Competition
2018
Illustrator
The Vestige Meditation Hut's materials are organized so that they decay or wear out in a certain sequence in order for it to evolve with age. This life cycle outlines how each part's use is exhausted before decaying or being recycled once it has run its course.
